Bodega Estancia Mendoza
History
Bodega Estancia Mendoza is a modern Argentine winery established in 2004 in the Uco Valley of Mendoza, one of the country’s most prestigious wine-growing regions located at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. The winery was founded with the vision of introducing the exceptional terroir and viticultural potential of Mendoza to international markets through wines that combine premium quality, contemporary style, and strong accessibility.
The winery belongs to Fecovita, the largest wine cooperative group in Argentina, representing approximately 5,000 grape growers, 54 wineries, and nearly 25,000 hectares of vineyards throughout Mendoza. The roots of Fecovita trace back to 1896, when Italian immigrant Juan Giol and Swiss immigrant Bautista Gargantini helped establish one of Argentina’s most important historic wine operations, laying the foundation for what would later become a major force in Argentine wine production.
Since its creation, Bodega Estancia Mendoza has rapidly gained recognition both domestically and internationally for producing wines that balance modern fruit-driven expression with the distinctive character of Mendoza terroir. The winery has successfully positioned itself among Argentina’s leading premium wine brands while expanding exports to markets around the world.
Philosophy & Vision
Bodega Estancia Mendoza is dedicated to expressing the purity, concentration, and elegance of Mendoza wines through a combination of high-altitude viticulture, modern winemaking techniques, and careful vineyard selection. Located in the Uco Valley, the vineyards benefit from intense sunlight, low humidity, significant day-to-night temperature variation, and the cooling influence of the Andes, creating ideal conditions for producing wines with freshness, aromatic intensity, and excellent structure.
The winery focuses strongly on varietals that thrive in Mendoza’s climate, particularly Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Chardonnay, and Torrontés. By combining traditional Argentine grape-growing knowledge with contemporary cellar technology, Bodega Estancia Mendoza aims to produce wines that are approachable, expressive, and internationally competitive while still maintaining a strong sense of regional identity.
Innovation and accessibility are also central to the winery’s philosophy. Alongside premium ranges, the winery develops modern wine concepts with distinctive packaging and approachable styles designed for global consumers. Careful temperature-controlled fermentation, fruit-focused vinification, and balanced oak aging are used to preserve varietal purity and highlight the natural richness of Mendoza fruit.
