History
: In the southern part of Burgundy, in the small village of Berzé-la-Ville in the Mâconnais region, the story of Domaine Chene begins on the gentle slopes of a vineyard known as “Château Chardon.” In 1973, the family, who had long lived as farmers for generations, began crafting their first wines with a simple philosophy: to make wines from the grapes they grew themselves, wines they would proudly drink with their own family.
As the years passed planting vines, learning to understand the land, and patiently waiting on nature each vintage, the domaine gradually took shape. In 1999, father and son officially established the G.A.E.C Père et Fils partnership, marking the true beginning of the family estate as it is known today.
Today, Domaine Chene continues to quietly build a reputation as a family winery that honors the traditions of Burgundy while looking thoughtfully toward the next generation.
About Wine
: Founded in 1973 in the clay and limestone soils of the southern Mâconnais region of Burgundy, Domaine Chene crafts authentic and well-balanced Burgundy wines by harvesting grapes at optimal ripeness and combining stainless steel vinification with carefully integrated oak aging.
As an independent winegrower (Vigneron Indépendant), the domaine respects its terroir while minimizing chemical intervention and actively promoting environmental sustainability, earning the HVE (High Environmental Value) certification. After harvest, the grapes are destemmed and transferred to tanks for direct pressing, followed by low-temperature fermentation. Part of the wine is then aged for 10 months in oak barrels, while the remainder matures in stainless steel tanks before bottling.

- Pale golden in color with delicate golden reflections, the wine reveals harmonious aromas of white flowers and fresh herbs layered with notes of peach and plum. On the palate, it offers a smooth and generous texture, where refined fruit flavors and a sensual mouthfeel are beautifully balanced by fresh citrus and mandarin notes. The wine’s concentrated aromatic depth lingers gracefully, leaving a long and elegant finish.
