: Albades is a wine brand created by Hammeken Cellars, an innovative Spanish wine company, to showcase Spain’s freshest and most distinctive terroirs through a modern approach. Founded in 1996, Hammeken Cellars is a leading négociant and wine producer that has specialized in discovering exceptional vineyards across Spain and introducing wines that reflect the unique character of each region to international markets.
Under its brand philosophy, “Meet the Freshest Spanish Wines,” Albades carefully selects grapes exclusively from Spanish wine regions known for their cool climates and distinctive terroirs. By sourcing each grape variety from the region where it thrives best, the brand focuses on expressing authentic regional character and vibrant, fresh fruit flavors.
Its signature wine, Albades Malvasía, captures the expressive aromatics and lively acidity of Malvasía grown in Valencia, a region influenced by the Mediterranean climate. Meanwhile, Albades Garnacha de Montaña is crafted from Garnacha cultivated in high-altitude vineyards approximately 750 meters above sea level in the Sierra de Algairén, resulting in exceptional freshness and an elegant structure. Combining traditional Spanish winemaking heritage with a contemporary style, Albades represents a new generation of Spanish wines, characterized by bright, pure fruit flavors and beautifully balanced acidity.
About Wine
: Produced from old bush vines grown in a continental climate influenced by the Mediterranean, the grapes are carefully hand-harvested during the morning hours of the last week of August to preserve their fresh fruit character. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 14–16°C for 18 days, followed by three months of aging on the lees to develop a rich texture and aromatic complexity. The wine has earned 91 points from James Suckling and a Gold Medal at the Berliner Wein Trophy, recognizing its outstanding quality.
