History
: Creencia con Juventud is one of the flagship wines of the Creencia series, created by Hammeken Cellars, an innovative Spanish wine company. The name “Creencia” means “Belief” in Spanish, while “Creencia con Juventud” conveys the idea of “Belief in Youth.” This name symbolizes the winery’s philosophy of expressing the vibrant fruit character and youthful energy of the Monastrell grape variety in its purest and most natural form.
The wine is produced from dry-farmed vineyards over 35 years old, situated in the cool, high-altitude areas of northern D.O.P. Jumilla, Spain. In the extremely dry climate of Jumilla, vines develop deep root systems to seek out water and nutrients naturally. Although this results in lower yields, the grapes achieve remarkable flavor concentration and intensity. This traditional dry-farming method is widely regarded as one of the most effective ways to express the distinctive character of Monastrell, the region’s signature grape variety.
Since its introduction, the Creencia series has consistently received scores of 90 points or higher from Guía Peñín, one of Spain’s leading wine guides. Creencia con Juventud has also earned continued recognition for its outstanding quality, establishing itself as one of the modern expressions of Monastrell that represent the Jumilla region.
About Wine
: The grapes are sourced from vines over 35 years old, cultivated on high-altitude plateaus approximately 700–900 meters above sea level, where a continental-Mediterranean climate brings long, hot summers and cold winters. The grapes are carefully hand-harvested in early October, followed by 48 hours of cold maceration at 8°C and 12 days of fermentation. The wine is then aged for six months in French oak barrels, developing rich fruit flavors and a smooth, well-structured palate. Its exceptional quality and value have been recognized with 92 points from Wine Enthusiast and a “Best Buy” designation.
