Viña Bisquertt

BISQUERTT Family Vineyards HISTORY Viña Bisquertt is a family winery founded 40 years ago by Osvaldo Bisquertt and his wife Soledad Urrutia with the philosophy of producing terroir-based wines.

The Bisquertt family were pioneers in the Colchagua Valley, planting their first vines in Fundo Rinconada in Perrillo in the mid-1960s and purchasing their first cellar in Lihueimo ten years later.

In the early 1980s, Bisquertt began a major expansion into the United States and began exporting its wines around the world. At the same time, we began developing the iconic La Joya brand, a symbol of innovation, authenticity and elegance, recognized for its many distinctions both in Chile and internationally. In 2000, Bisquertt planted his first vines on the El Chequén estate in the Marchihue Valley, part of the Colchagua Valley. With his leadership and vision, Bisquertt made a major contribution to unifying the then new Marchihue Order as it is known today.

In the early 21st century, the second generation of the family, under the leadership of Sebastián Bisquertt, joined Don Osvaldo's efforts and began to consolidate Bisquertt as a standard for quality wines in Chile. During this period there was a strong drive to expand exports to more than 30 countries.
